2020 Beginning Beekeeping Course

HBA is offering a comprehensive course for new beekeepers to help them learn the ins and outs of beginning and maintaining a hive throughout the year.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions around large group gatherings Huguenot Beekeepers Association is unable to provide a 2021 Beginning Beekeeping Class. We do plan to present many of the topics and content that make up this curriculum during monthly association meetings.

2020 Course

The Huguenot Beekeepers' Association (HBA) is holding their annual Beginning Beekeeping Course on four Saturdays in February and March. Attendees will receive instruction on the basics of beekeeping, the various equipment including hive components and tools, diseases and pests, what to expect in the first year, how to purchase and install your bees, sources of pollen and nectar, and (weather permitting) a hands on field day in the club's apiary.
