Beginner Beekeeping Class
The Huguenot Beekeepers' Association (HBA) is holding its annual Beginning Beekeeping Course on four Saturdays beginning in January and running through March. Attendees will receive instruction on the basics of beekeeping, the various equipment including hive components and tools, diseases and pests, what to expect in the first year, how to purchase and install your bees, sources of pollen and nectar, and (weather permitting) a hands on field day in the club's apiary.

January Club Meeting - Please Note Location Change
Join us for January’s club meeting where we’ll go over start of a new year club business, as well as have special guest, Kathleen Ogilvy with the VA Dept of Forestry.
Please note:
We had to change our meeting location for our tomorrow January 9th club meeting.
We will now be meeting at:
Pocahontas Landmark Center
Address: 4290 Anderson Hwy, Powhatan, VA
We will start the meeting at 7PM
We will be meeting in the training room. Please use the parking lot to the right side of the building and use the entrance on that side of the building. We will try and post signs to direct you to the room we will be using for our meeting.

December Club Apiary Day
December club apiary day (weather permitting). Advisors will conduct hive inspections, splits, mite treatments, and more. This is a good chance for new beekeepers to ask questions and work hives with the more experienced members. All participants are required to have a signed waiver on file and wear at least a veil.
